Future Cinema visits 1980s California

An elaborate setup on an artificial island in ‘Dollar Bay’ by Canada Wharf, with a complete funfair, a vampire cave (faithfully styled after the film), a cabin with DIY taxidermy (really creepy), a container with an impromptu (and very full on) vampire ear piercer, giving it all the spiel, and many other features from the movie made it a textbook immersive experience. On top of that, sailing added a certain touch to the evening.

The movie was much more enjoyable than expected, and the audience element was more than game. The weather also played along, and it was a beautiful evening. The backdrop provided by the buildings was stunning, and quite surreal.

On the whole, we had a Very Good Experience. And we enjoyed the Dodgems, too.
