Staffordshire University and Nachi Chockalingam

It has been very interesting indeed. Nachi’s lab is very well equipped, and we got to play with lots of things in the search for measurement of engagement. Lots of opportunities. And good people.

What looks particularly promising is force plates, accelerators, and Vicon (which is poetry in motion in itself).

There has also been lots of driving – it is not next door, but it was well worth it. Last night in Stoke was enjoyable, although there were not many people out. We walked through a lovely park, had some adequate food, and an all round very pleasant evening.

The morning was stunning – clear blue skies and warm sun. Back here it is misty, drizzly and on the cool side. I wonder what happened to summer?

We got a bit lost on the way back, so the journey took a little longer than expected, but it was pretty smooth.

And today yielded, as previously mentioned, very promising possibilities. Exciting!
