Bristol and Igfest

Well, my timing was a bit off, but I have done a bit of Bristol. See photos below. Staying in Kingsdown, a quite nice part of town with lots of leafy streets around it to wander through. I have a meeting with the organisers of Igfest this morning, and after that I am heading back home again.

I saw The White Ribbon from 2009 last night. An interesting German film about the background to terrorism. The film maker seems preoccupied with brutality and complicity, so not exactly a feel-good film, but it had a lot of authenticity.

Yesterday went from persistent drizzle to bright blue skies, which today started with. It has clouded over a little now, but is still sunny. I shall walk into town soon for my brunch meeting. Below are some photos from Royal Fort Gardens, a lovely, peaceful walled garden in the middle of the University of Bristol campus.
