Brighton Festival has started!

Children’s parade this morning, which left us exhausted. It isn’t far to walk, but the wait, and the crowds, and the bl**dy whistles (since when is it a good idea to equip small children – no, wait, anyone at all – with shrill whistles?) do get to you. Some great themes and structures, as usual. It is a good event, but I think I prefer watching to participating.

Street entertainment by the Fringe today, lots of people milling about, and much more to come still. It is a fun time in Brighton.

More treats this evening; we have a private view, a light installation out of doors, and Sunday Morning at the Centre of the World to go to. God knows what else. It is all happening out there.
