‘Tis the season to be jolly

The private view at the museum last night was relatively quiet due to the weather, but there were some jolly and festive people there. Most carried on to Monica’s studio party afterwards.

The exhibition has some great films – especially interesting are the Pathé films from 1906, projected in larger format than one usually gets to see. They are truly surreal. Great examples of how free-form early film could be; openly and weirdly sexual.
