τὰ πάντα ῥεῖ καὶ οὐδὲν μένει (“Ta panta rhei kai ouden menei”)

From good old Plato (reciting Heraclitus)- everything flows, nothing stands still. Ain’t that the truth.

It is a gloriously beautiful day. Clear blue sky, white snow everywhere, winter sunshine. I am going to skid around in it on my way to work very soon.

Shifting tides, moving sands, the pull of gravitational forces – I can feel them all in life, even on this small level of an individual life – or rather, lives. No woman is an island.

I seem to have proverbitis this morning. It may be because I have slept well, which tends to bring a greater sense of connection with what is and what has gone before. Which leads me to the present, and finding myself in it, with calm and a sense of everything stretching out from this moment, in all directions.

It is the place to be. Damn, B&H council has turned even that into a jingle. There is no escape.
