Wolves and their family structure

The wolf is one of my favourite animals and always has been. I have been called naive by people who live in the countryside, but I still fail to see why we should have the right to extinguish those who were there before us.

This article in the New Scientist talks about how hunting disrupts the intricate social order of wolves and their behaviour. The author suggests that hunting may actually be counter-productive.

Emotions tend to run high when wolves come up, and they are often heavily coloured by something that smells like superstition and long-gone times.
